I have made probably made 100 sketches of the Han horse and carved the head ten times. It's an amazing horse, I imagine that there was a carving guild that would carve these horses for the masses. I think the master carver would carve the complicated head and then lesser carvers or apprentices would carve the body and legs and then it would be doweled together. I plan to finish this piece to go with the wood carving Captain Jinxs and Warrior Chief;
