Kilmacthomas Bridge2018-04

Whenever I travel I always take my little pochade box and travel easel. I've always enjoyed painting in Ireland, from my first trip on our honeymoon where I painted with watercolors to the last several when I brought acrylic paints. Acrylics behave properly in Ireland with it's damp humid climate, they stay soft and never skin over. I never especially wanted to visit Ireland during their winter season. This year's trip we were hoping for an early spring that would begin in April. Instead Ireland had a drawn out winter and when we arrived the tree were bare and the grasses water logged and brown.
